Residence L'Allee des Dunes - Vacanceole

The residence was quiet, and I’d stay again, but there were real problems. Check-in at 5 pm feels much too late, basically the first day is lost when the previous guests leave the property clean at 10 am. We found the house not very clean and full of spiders and insects, despite paying 200eur a day. The pool was fine, though there weren’t enough chairs.

We were very dissatisfied with the stay and got no attention from management. The WiFi went down and was never fixed, which was a disaster since we needed it for business and to stay in touch with family. Management weren’t on site during our visit. The shrubs were neglected and the grass hadn’t been cut. We own the property, but the house wasn’t clean when we arrived. The outer shutters were black inside and hadn’t been cleaned, and the windows were the same. We reported several problems inside to reception twice, but nothing was done. We cleaned everything thoroughly before leaving, yet expect to face the same problem when we return next year. We were also asked for a deposit because, we were told, owners had damaged properties before. We later heard that families are now staying in our homes during off-peak periods, and we’re sure owners wouldn’t wreck their own places.

The location is great, but the bathroom and toilet drains were blocked and nobody seemed to care. It took three days to get them repaired. I complained again at reception each day and through your app as well. The WiFi didn’t work at all, and staff just said there were too many people in the area and they couldn’t help. I’d also suggest having one person available throughout the working day.

Basic place with a pool, in a good location. There’s bike rental nearby and a nice cycling and walking path close by.
