We really liked waking up to the trees outside the big windows in the plein Soleil loft. It was comfortable for two, and having a washing machine and dishwasher was handy. The lounge seating needed a little adjustment: tall guests may hit their heads on the wall art, and the chairs were uncomfortable unless we tucked a towel under the cushions. Moving the lounge into the corner made a lovely daybed, and pool towels under the seats supported the pillows. After that, it was perfect. We had a great three days in Oppède with Claire. Breakfasts were great, and the peaceful location worked well for exploring Oppède Le vieux, le petit luberon, oppède, and other places on foot. Claire made sure we had what we needed and helped us get a taxi. We were sorry to leave.

Breakfast arrived on our patio each morning, with lovely personal touches like fresh-squeezed orange juice and local lavender honey. Our room was comfortable, tucked among the lovely grounds and olive trees, with a beautiful pool area nearby. Claire and her husband were warm, helpful hosts and a joy to talk with. Le Champ des Oliviers was the perfect home base for our Luberon vacation, a quiet, restorative little piece of heaven. I only wish we’d booked a longer stay.

We got up early, and Claire still brought fresh croissants and bread from two different places every day. She never made us feel that was a problem. Breakfasts were so generous we couldn't finish them, and often saved some for later. Claire and her husband take exceptional care of their guests and the grounds; her local tips were really helpful too. I loved staying here and would move in in a heartbeat. The location makes it easy to explore nearby and the wider Provence area, including an easy drive to Aix-en-Provence. If you're considering a stay, do it. This is probably the best bed and breakfast we've ever visited.
