The room was clean and warm, and I slept comfortably enough to continue my journey feeling rested the next day. I only booked because I had a long drive ahead and was getting extremely tired behind the wheel. Booking was very simple, and the hotel was easy to find. The staff member on night duty gave me a warm welcome. It was a last minute booking, and I was told the room was ready but had a lighting problem. That was fine as I mainly needed to sleep and leave early. I chose a private bathroom as a personal preference. The only other issue was that the dispenser had no shower gel when I showered the next morning.

Noisy, and breakfast was so limited I might as well have spent £20 at a shop. Definitely not worth the money. The room was basic, and they charge £2.50 for each towel. I've slept in better hostels in Scotland. Avoid at all costs.

The location is quite far outside the city, which makes sense for keeping prices low. But the ways they cut costs are ridiculous. Towels aren't provided, and that wasn't mentioned when booking. There are no rooms with private bathrooms. The shared bathrooms seemed to be cleaned just by rinsing them with a hose. I saw staff do it without any disinfectant, which isn't enough for a shared bathroom. The staff barely spoke English, so asking if there was soap to wash my hands was a whole adventure. There was a sink in the room, but no soap was provided. Ridiculous.

The breakfast wasn't good, and the milk left from the previous day had spoiled. There was also a wall of cigarette smoke as soon as you went inside, with lots of people smoking outside the entrance. Standing there with a group felt intimidating. People smoked in the rooms too, and some used the emergency door to go out for a smoke, though that's not what it's for. My room was right next to that door, so it made quite a lot of noise. The room wasn't completely clean either.
