When the garage had our car after we broke down on the A28, the owner called them the next morning to check on progress. We were made very welcome at Chez Lorette, and he let us keep using the room until the car was ready in the early evening. He even drove us to the garage. The recovery driver had brought us to Orbec and put us in touch with Chez Lorette, then kindly drove us there. Many thanks to everyone who helped, including the owner, who gave us useful advice on where to eat.

We celebrated our wedding day with our witnesses in the beautiful garden at Côté Jardin, then spent our wedding night there. It was magical. The breakfast was delicious, and we're going back this weekend (June 2020)!

Orbec is beautiful in the sunshine, and it's the town where Debussy wrote “jardins sous la pluie.” The guest room itself felt charming and almost out of time, with a spacious, very well-kept room cared for by a lovely owner. Breakfast was generous and everything was very quiet.

A peaceful spot for a short break when you want to rest and unwind. The garden and its little stream make for a lovely, zen-like atmosphere, and the setting is very pleasant right in the heart of the city. ❤

The owner had confirmed our reservation, but when we arrived we were told they were fully booked because of an error on their part. We had to find somewhere else for the Ascension weekend, with no alternative offered. Simply appalling. Disgusted, we drove five hours home. Thanks a lot, sir!
