Hotel Le Bouton D'Or

The owners and staff were really nice, and I loved the natural setting. Listening to the birds and heavy rain was a lovely memory. I stayed one night on my own, and the food was very good. Dinner was à la carte: I had the boeuf even though I mostly eat vegetarian, and it was great, with salad, potatoes, fresh flowers decorating the plate, and vegetable purée. Breakfast was outstanding too, with organic whole bread, local cheeses, fresh local curd (quark), and yoghurt. My room, the bergeronne, felt old and too small for me. I’d have preferred something bigger and newer, since there wasn’t room for yoga and the rain made it impossible to do that outside. A larger room was shown as available online, but I didn’t manage to communicate that well on the phone because the owner only speaks French. There was also short hair in my bed, under the pillow and blanket and on top of the blanket. The owner changed it quickly and kindly. The sauna and jacuzzi were closed and couldn’t be reserved. I think they may only be available if you rent one of the kotas, the wooden houses at the back. It was very busy when I arrived on a Saturday, with lunch guests and people coming for supper. If you want a really quiet stay, choose the 4 saisons hotel in Kruth, or Best food, quietness, stressless, also small but cozy loving rooms! Je vais retourner :-) Merci bien
