A good value for families if you don't need anything fancy. The beds are comfortable, the staff are quite nice, and the buffet is decent if you pick the all-inclusive or half-inclusive option. The small studios have kitchens and sit right at the bottom of the slopes.

The kids' activities were a big hit, even in March, with things like a disco and clown show. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and entertaining for the children, and it worked really well for our 3y and 5y old girls. Our half-board package included skipasses, breakfast and dinner, ice skating, swimming, and kids clubs. The accommodation was functional, with a balcony, kitchenette, microwave, hobs, fridge, and dishwasher. We were glad we brought our Nespresso, music speaker, and a fistful of extension leads and multiplugs. The sofabed mattress was good, though we didn't fold it up, so can't say how comfortable it is as a sofa. Meals were simple canteen-style. There was soup, a salad bar, 2 or 3 mains, dessert bar, and ice cream. White and red wine were on tap, with more choices on the wine list. Breakfast included toast, croissants, boiled eggs, two cooked items, coffee, juice, milk, cereal, ham, cheese, and fruit.

On our first day, we saw someone projectile vomit in the dining room and again in the elevator/reception area. We left straight away. We didn't see the areas being disinfected, and were seriously concerned we might get sick there.

There are plenty of spaces in this parking area at orciere merlette. It's free, closed at night, and under video surveillance. Your car is sheltered from snow and heat, and automatic stairs take you back to the station. R.
