Great for babies! Sandrine was a really good host, and breakfast was lovely. She also shared plenty of good ideas for things to do around Lac du Der. We’d happily come back and recommend staying here. ❤️

We booked directly, which was simple and cheaper. The wooden lodge sits by a pond, close to Der Chantecoq Lake and its birdwatching spots, with a heronry of about 40 nests nearby. After our tour, we tried the relaxing massage. Dinner was homemade and good, and breakfast was a generous continental spread with eggs and cold cuts.

The bedroom was large, clean, and felt safe, and everyone was very friendly. It’s among the artificial lakes and not far from the motorway, so there can be some background noise if you’re sensitive to it. Earplugs should sort that out ☺️!
