Novotel Poissy Orgeval

There weren’t many good things about this stay, though the sheets seemed clean. We were here with a school group through EF. The room had one bed and a pullout, and the lighting was all on or all off, with no way to read without disturbing everyone else. The toilet door wouldn’t close because it had been painted over so many times, and if someone opened it, you could wave to people in the hallway. The air conditioning barely worked, so we were lucky the weather cooled down. The pool shut at 7 pm even though it stayed light until 10. One person in our group couldn’t get the shower working; when she asked for help, the manager laughed at her, after someone else in the group had helped because our shower did work. The walls were thin, so we heard every slammed door and kids running in the halls. There was some kind of carpet in the bathroom, which was gross.

Guests were allowed to party by the pool until midnight, and nobody seemed to care how loud or disrespectful they were to people trying to sleep. The rooms were awful and the towels were dirty. This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s an authentic piece of ….

The breakfast was better than I expected, and the room was comfortable and clean. Everyone at reception was really welcoming. I had a great stay and would recommend the hotel.

The garden is a nice place to unwind, and you can't hear the nearby motorway or busy road there. In summer, the pool is enjoyable even though it isn't heated, since the water feels warm enough when it's hot out. My family and I come back often because the hotel works so well for us when we're in the area. It has connecting rooms that fit all five of us, plus a bar and restaurant for nights when we don't want to eat out. The staff are usually very friendly and helpful, maybe because they recognize us as regulars.
