Camping Vallee Heureuse

The site has a great feel, with very helpful staff, a nice bar and pool area, and loads of mostly flat pitches to choose from, in sun or shade. It's a lovely base for exploring this interesting area. We also enjoyed swimming in the lake just outside the campsite, although it's officially not allowed and seemed fine to us. There's a train station just down the road.

We're having a really good stay here. The campsite is nice, and every evening we stop by the bar for a drink and a chat with victor and the rest of the crew. They've treated us and everyone else really well.

We had a quiet week here with our family of four, and it was just what we needed in the middle of busy life. The campsite wasn't too full, so the pool, deck chairs and everything else were always available. The surroundings are gorgeous, the place is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the hikes, and it was easy to get to the lake, nearby villages and local trains. We'd happily come back.

The pitches are mostly a good size, though some are a way from the electric points. The site was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was great that the pool was still open in mid-October, when most campsites have closed theirs. The location is brilliant, though we found it a bit hard to find. We loved our stay.
