Even after I asked for cleaning, the bathroom was still unkempt, the floor was sticky, and the smell hadn't gone away. I was told to request cleaning directly at reception. Leaving the “clean my room” sign on the door isn't enough, and guests aren't clearly told about this supposed “eco policy.” The rooms were dirty and smelly, with missing interior fittings and a floor so dirty it felt like being in the woods. The bathroom was a joke. I wouldn't recommend staying even one night. For 100€, you can find a place that meets hotel standards, rather than these tents in the woods. Dear Natalia, your reply didn't address the problems I had. The claims about “unusual damage” to towels and linens were vague and felt like an effort to discredit my feedback. Blaming the dirt on “moisture from the outside” and guests not taking off their shoes is absurd for a hotel. Saying you'd post your own photos “if you could” sounded like a veiled threat, not professional customer service. Instead of deflecting criticism, you should reconsider the actual quality of your services.

On the first day of my road trip, I saw another grubby-looking room and decided I'd had enough. After more than 30 years as a loyal customer, I won't keep rewarding this chain just for old times' sake.

The staff were friendly, which was the one good part of the stay. Our rooms were dirty and small, with one side of the bed almost against the wall. There was some kind of insect living inside, maybe a spider or beetle. Carpenters were working every day, so relaxing was impossible, and the paint smell was unpleasant. There was no air conditioning. Breakfast was decent.

We stopped for one night on our way from the UK to Spain, and it was a really enjoyable stay. The room was cosy and comfortable, and we had a lovely meal in the hotel's restaurant. The welcoming staff served us from a varied menu with something for everyone at reasonable prices. We washed it down with local wine. There's a good dog-walking area in the woods behind the hotel.

The stay seemed good until I got home and saw they'd taken more money from my account than they should have, even though we'd already paid. I tried contacting them twice but didn't get a helpful response, so I have to go through Booking.com to sort it out. It's really soured my opinion of the place, and I won't use it again.
