We arrived late at night after a long trip with our two exhausted little kids. We had booked for three adults, thinking that would comfortably fit two adults and two small children, but the hotel said we couldn't all stay in one room. Their only answer was, “policy is policy.” They told us to split into two rooms, with one parent and one child in each. One of our children got overwhelmed and started crying. Seeing our child so upset while the staff showed no compassion was awful. The receptionist seemed unable to understand what was happening, then broke down when we tried to explain, so we were left without help or any consideration for what a family needed. We felt punished for travelling with children instead of welcomed. It was heartbreaking. No parent should have to pay for extra rooms they don't need or watch a child have an emotional breakdown because of an unexplained, inflexible policy and unkind treatment. We won't come back, and I'd warn other families that this hotel may not offer the safe, understanding environment they hope for.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of fresh, tasty choices. I liked the cozy feel of the place, too. There's a playground, plenty of outdoor space to relax in, and an outdoor pool. It's a little small, but still a nice extra. The food was fine, and the staff were very friendly. On Saturday evening, though, they could have used someone overseeing things. They didn't seem to know who was waiting for drinks or what people needed. I'd definitely recommend it.

Even with the rain and traffic delaying us until very late, a staff member was still waiting at reception. The hotel was clean and felt safe, and breakfast was included, with a good variety and nice quality. The seasonal pool opens at 9 am, and we got to enjoy it before leaving. A late checkout at 12m worked really well for our family, since we could use the amenities and head out without rushing. The welcome and kindness from the staff deserve 100 points.

We stayed one night on the way south and it worked out perfectly. The rooms were bright and clean, and the facilities were nice. Families have plenty to keep kids busy, including a pool, a play area, chickens, and lots of safe outdoor space. Breakfast had a great spread of hot and cold food. Really recommend it.
