Urban Jungle. Hotel Orléans

The location is magnificent, just two minutes from the main square, and that's mostly what you're paying for. The rooms were older and not the cleanest. Wi-Fi didn't work at all, though that didn't matter much for a one-night stay. Breakfast was very limited. The bed was okay, but there was no air conditioning, just a huge fan that was too noisy to run at night.

We found the room clean and equipped with what we needed. It was small, but that didn't bother us. There was a double bed and a bunk bed, which worked well for our family. The hotel is very central. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful when we arrived, telling us where to park and recommending places for breakfast and dinner. We ate breakfast out one day and at the hotel the other, and the hotel breakfast was good too. If we're in Orleans again, we'll definitely stay here. I can highly recommend it.

The location is great, and the guy who checked us in was lovely and helpful. There's a secure underground car park a couple of minutes away. Park at Martroi, tell the hotel, and they pay the fee. You pay the hotel, then they give you the ticket to exit after your stay. Easy. Our room felt small, especially for a superior double. The towel rail wasn't fixed to the wall. Several reviews mention this, so it seems to happen more than once. The bathroom was tiny, barely enough room for one person, and you had to close the door fully to reach the sink. The website says all Superior Double rooms have a bath, but ours, room 215, had a very small shower and no bath. After our stay I emailed the manager to ask if we'd been given the wrong room type. The response was unhelpful and contradictory. They apologized for the bathroom's size, said Superior rooms have both showers and bathtubs, then explained that some have a bathtub while others, like room 215, have a shower in a smaller bathroom. They also assured me room 215 was indeed a Superior Double, and that the difference was in the bathroom size and amenities, not the room category. Be aware you might pay for a room advertised with a bath and still not get one. Apart from that, it's a great location in a great city.

Clean, funky, and in a good location. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and there was free overnight street parking.
