After a tough day in the mountains, we were really glad to be looked after so well. The welcome was warm, the food lovely, and it’s a beautiful, pleasant place to stay.

The home-style meals were delicious, and both the bedroom and shared spaces felt comfortable. Gîte de la Lignarre has been renovated recently and sits in a very quiet little village. The owners welcomed us warmly and were glad to share information and tips about nearby hikes and activities. We had a lovely stay and would happily come back.

The gîte is a really pleasant place, decorated with good taste. Fabrice and Valérie look after you so well, from the meals and walks to lending a hand if you need it. Breakfast, picnics, and dinner were all delicious, varied, and generous. This was our second visit, and we’ll be back again. Many thanks to Fabrice and Valérie.

Fabrice, who’s a mountain guide, was always available with hike ideas suited to what we liked and our skill level. Valerie was a thoughtful, smiling host, always attentive and around when guests needed her. We stayed at Gîte de la Lignarre for almost two weeks, and our room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The meals were varied, healthy, and delicious, with local dishes chosen with care. It all made for a relaxing, enjoyable stay in a place with genuine warmth and an authentic feel. Claire and François
