Camping Les Princes D'Orange

Orpierre itself is lovely, but I had a bad experience at this campsite. I called reception because I wanted to stay in the climbers' area, and the woman there assured me the tent pitch on the website was the right one. Once I arrived, I learned it was actually in the general campsite, with no shade. The wrong information cost me €120 in overpayment, and the campsite refused to refund it. The sanitary facilities were poor too: cold showers, no soap, and many taps that didn't work.

The pool never got too crowded, and the bouldering wall is a great addition. The kids also really enjoyed the bouncy castle and playground. The only thing we missed was a kids' club that worked for four-year-olds. Apparently the staff didn't have the right qualifications for that this year. The team were very friendly, our apartment was clean when we arrived, the jacuzzi worked perfectly, and any problems were sorted quickly. As always, an excellent stay.

The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful, and there was fun entertainment in the evenings. It's a great campsite with cool activities, in a lovely location. There's a nice lake about 15 minutes up the road where you can hire paddleboards and pedalos, and there's a food hut too. Well worth spending a day there! 😊

It was raining when I visited in early to mid-June, so maybe everyone was just staying indoors. The campsite seemed almost empty, but everything was clean and in good shape. The manager welcomed me warmly and showed real kindness. It's in a lovely location, and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the region again.
