La Métairie - Orx

The pool was just right during the heatwave, and the grounds were beautiful and carefully looked after. Olivier was welcoming, attentive, and always there when we needed something. Breakfast each morning was delicious and authentic, a real French treat. We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful spot in the heart of France. We’d happily come back soon and highly recommend it.

A really lovely guesthouse. The place feels like a little cocoon, and everything was just right, from the rooms to the generous breakfast. So peaceful, it’s easy to relax here. We’ll definitely be back.

The location made it easy to explore the Landes and Basque Country regions. Olivier is a wonderful host, very thoughtful with his “guests” while still giving them space. The clean, quiet house has roomy bedrooms, comfortable beds, basic amenities, and is baby-friendly. We had a great stay and highly recommend La Métairie. Thanks, Olivier!

The gardens are beautifully kept, and the rooms are huge and spotless. It’s a quiet spot for switching off, with the village, an Aldi, and several restaurants only 10 minutes away. Breakfast is prepared in the kitchen as you sit at the table: croissants, chocolate-filled puff pastry, bread, toast, butter, a round cake whose name I don’t know, homemade jams from the host and a neighbor, and five or six kinds of artisanal honey from a local beekeeper. The young man who served us was very kind and polite, took time to speak Spanish with us, and spoke it perfectly. Clean, pretty, quiet, and inexpensive. I hope I can return someday.
