Dolce Casa

The setting was so calm and green, and just a 10-minute drive from the town center, which felt like a great balance. Laurence gave us a really warm welcome even though we arrived late. The room was roomy and nicely decorated, with a walk-in shower and its own little garden. We stayed comfortable even in the heat, without air conditioning. The bed was a bit low and the mattress very soft, but we’d definitely come back.

Laurence welcomed us kindly, and parking was a plus. The rest was awful. The house was extremely dirty, with cobwebs everywhere, and even the bed linens were dirty. The garden was neglected and had no lighting, so at night we needed our phone flashlights just to get in and out.

There’s a bus stop right outside, so getting into Lyon is easy, and the hotel is conveniently away from the city. But the bedding needs a deep clean because of a pest infestation, and the electrical work needs repairs.

The breakfast was overpriced, and the bread was stale. In such hot weather, having no air conditioning was bad enough, but there wasn't even a fan. This really needs improvement.
