Evancy Oye Plage

Our holiday got off to a disastrous start. We arrived at 3pm and had no check-in instructions, no emails, and no answer when we called. We spent over an hour and a half trying to reach Evancy Oye Plage. Two helpful locals tried too, though they didn't know who Evancy were. One of them eventually reached someone, maybe the cleaner, who said our booking had been cancelled. We still couldn't get hold of Evancy, and neither could Expedia. At one point Expedia said they had no record of our booking, even though we had the references and evidence. They eventually admitted they couldn't contact Evancy either. I hope Evancy sees this, explains what happened, and apologizes. Fortunately, we had a car and could get away to find somewhere else. The place is remote, so without your own transport you could be in serious trouble. Expedia took four days and several emails and calls to refund the stay we never had, which disrupted our holiday even more. A very stressful, disappointing experience with both Evancy and Expedia. We felt scammed.
