Village Camping de l'Ostriconi

After hiking 26 km across the Desert Des Agriates, arriving here felt like finding an oasis in the middle of Sinai. The walk to the beach is lovely in itself, and the beach is very close. The campground has good shade and plenty of space, and is generally quiet, with mostly calm families and a laid-back holiday feel. What really stood out was how efficiently everything was run. The facilities were spotless and airy, the store stayed open late and had more than you could want, the restaurant served great food, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There's also a small pool and a gym, and it has everything you need.

A quiet, pleasant campsite with an amazing sunset view, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. It's also a perfect area for hiking, with trails leading to different beaches. The beach is 10-15 minutes away on foot, but when the waves are high, a huge dirty puddle forms on the way. Seagrass, perhaps, also gets pushed ashore by the waves, leaving limited clear access to the water. I'd highly recommend the place for people who aren't particular about the sand quality.

The position is very nice, with a beautiful wild beach and lifeguards there. The restaurant is okay, and there's a small pool. The water can be windy, with currents and waves, so it isn't suitable for children. The camping is good, but they should water the ground each morning to keep the wind from blowing so much dust around. The self-service bread and pastries setup isn't hygienic: everyone handles the items and puts them back. They should be in individual bags. There also aren't enough bathroom facilities in the evening when lots of guests shower.

The campsite staff were nice, and the beach is lovely, not too crowded, and much easier to reach than Saleccia. The restaurant and bar were pretty nice too. The facilities let it down: there's just one block of very old bathrooms for the whole site, with taps where you can't adjust the water temperature. Electrical hookups are poor, with too few outlets and guests competing for a free one. We even plugged in our own power strip so other guests could get electricity, and the campsite was only half full at the time.
