Hotel & Appartements Le Grand Large bord de mer

A great stop on a road trip, and the lovely dogs are there to welcome you :)

The stay was okay, but not worth the price. Breakfast and location were acceptable, though it takes a long time to get anywhere. The supposed “sea view” is better described as a view of the street, parking lot, and trash bin. The room was acceptable but low quality, and there was some street noise. Desk service was unacceptable. The clerk seemed afraid to call the boss when we raised issues, and couldn’t give us a clearly itemized bill for the room when we asked about the amount due. We had to argue to avoid being charged for breakfasts we hadn’t been charged correctly for.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the hotel was clean and warm. It’s right on the seafront, about 20 metres from the beach, with wonderful views. The hotel itself is basic, two-star, and the beds were too hard for my liking. I can’t say anything about breakfast since we didn’t eat there.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast in the morning was good. Our room was very nice, clean, and comfortable, looking out onto the beach about 35 metres away. Definitely can’t fault it.
