The room was huge, with four beds for our family, and it was clean with comfortable bedding. We liked the well-kept garden and the really nice staff. There are plenty of facilities, including golf, horse riding, and a gym. Breakfast cost 14€ a day and was good, though there wasn’t much choice. The bathroom looked a bit ugly, and the room decor wasn’t really our style. Still, it was a great experience.

Walking the grounds was a treat, especially seeing the driving range. Inside, the art and furnishings are fascinating, from contemporary pieces to beautiful bronze sculptures. The service was excellent. Staying here gave me the feeling I imagine living in a castle must have. What a nice experience.

The kids liked wandering around the extensive grounds and checking out the animals. Our family room had plenty of space for all four of us, two adults and two children. Breakfast in the morning was great, with lots of options.

We made good use of the location, visiting Mont St Michel and the Beaches of Normandy. The pool is sleek and modern, and makes for great Instagram shots with the medieval stone tower behind it, or the charismatic sheep in the other direction. We loved this swish European resort, from the owners’ commissioned modern art to the beautiful Arabian horses. We’ll be back, often!❤️❤️❤️❤️

There was no fireplace, despite what the listing advertised, and the IKEA furniture felt very cheap. The photos show furniture set up for wedding receptions and table settings, which isn’t what guests find during a hotel stay. Our room was clean, but it had no closet or mirror, and reaching it meant walking outside. Mosquitoes were all over the restaurant and lounge, and some got into the bedroom too. Dinner had only one option at 40 euros per person, and breakfast was 15 euros each. Avoid this place.
