The location made getting around easy. We arrived by Eurostar and were about 10 minutes from Gare du Nord, with the Louvre a 25-minute walk away. We also walked to Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur. There’s a bus stop right outside, line 32 if I remember correctly, plus metro stations nearby. We hardly needed public transport. On checkout day, the luggage room let us leave our bags while we explored a bit more. Later, we came back, had coffee and relaxed in the lobby, then picked up the bags before our evening train. That lobby is spacious and stylish, with several seating areas, lovely couches and armchairs, books in a little reading corner, and a cozy spot to sit with a coffee. There’s a drinks fridge at reception too. Our fifth-floor room was bright and cozy, small but full of character. I liked the warm lighting, beige curtains, and thoughtful mix of textures. The wardrobe was built into the wall with accent wallpaper, and the nightstands didn’t match, one metal and one painted wooden stump, but clearly that was intentional. The flooring was lovely, and the room felt put together with care. Housekeeping came daily and was consistently excellent, keeping everything clean and tidy. The staff were all warm, kind, and welcoming. When we arrived after four nights in Amsterdam, a young woman at reception greeted us with a smile and, “We’ve been expecting you!” She gave us room 506. We’d had room 507 in Amsterdam, which I mentioned, and she joked, “Well, I hope this one is better!” It really was. We stayed five days and felt at home. Before booking, I’d noticed this hotel had nearly the same star rating as our previous one, but the experience was miles better. Clean, cozy, well located, and full of character. One of the best stays of our trip, and I highly recommend it.
