Room 5 was a huge disappointment and spoiled our three-night stay. The pictures on the “A Room In Paris” website don’t match its deplorable, unclean condition. There was mold, dust, and grime in several places, cockroaches in the bathroom, and paint peeling or faded throughout. It felt more like a gloomy maid’s room than a bright Haussmann-style apartment, quite unlike the owner’s poetic introduction. At €170 including breakfast, it was worth €80 at most. I’d give the room one star, but the breakfast was good enough to bring my overall rating up to two.

Over the past 18 years, I’ve stayed at A Room in Paris three times. Peet is a welcoming host, and the breakfast is beautiful. It has a cozy, relaxed feel, comfortable beds, and feels safe. The location is excellent, in a great neighborhood to explore, with easy access to the Metro and buses for getting around the city. It’s a special place for my family and me. We’ll be back.

We had a lovely stay at A Room in Paris. Peet was a gracious host and breakfast was fresh. Somehow they always made our bed while we were out of the room. We’d recommend staying here to friends and family traveling to Paris.

The breakfast was just right, and Peet was a wonderful host. We found the rooms clean and full of character, with a warm, comfortable feel. It's very close to Gare du Nord, too. This was my second visit, and it felt like coming home again. Thanks for having us!

Peet and Jason were so welcoming. The room was clean and cozy, and breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade bread and croissants. Getting to Poissonnière or Gare du Nord was easy, putting lots of Paris sights within reach, including Sacré Coeur, Canal St Martin, Opéra, and Galeries Lafayette.
