Acacia Hotel

It's an older hotel, but the rooms and the place itself were nice and clean. Our room was cleaned each day, and dirty sheets were replaced. Toiletries were provided, and you could ask reception for a hairdryer. The staff were friendly and helpful, and reception was open 24 hours. We were able to check in early without an extra charge and leave our luggage safely at the hotel, which has a lift. There's a bus stop right outside and the Metro just a short walk away. Great value for the price, especially on a budget, and I'd recommend it.

The hotel is on a peaceful street with nice cafes and restaurants, which was a relief. The staff were kind and spoke English well. My only issue was the smoke smell in the halls and stairways, even though the hotel said it was smoke-free. The room was pretty cramped, but good for the price.

The location is really good, with frequent buses and a couple of good kebab places nearby. The room was small but fine. Service could've been better, though. I'm giving it two stars for service because the cleaning lady tried to keep our jacket while we were changing rooms.

The gay bar right downstairs was a real bonus for me, with friendly staff and good music. I’d stay here again. My room was cleaned carefully each day, and the private balcony overlooking the street was lovely. The staff were kind and helpful, and did their best to speak English. Having someone at the desk around the clock was handy, too. There was only one outlet, high up on the wall and nowhere near the bed or desk. The internet was a bit slow and dropped now and then, but staff sorted it out quickly. You could hear people on the stairs and occasional other noise, though it didn’t really bother me. Breakfast was available every day and looked like a traditional French spread, but I didn’t try it.
