Hotel Angleterre

For Paris, the rooms and bathrooms were a good size, and the hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It's a great little place in a handy spot, close to services, public transport and the metro, restaurants, and tourist sights. Montmartre is a 10-minute walk away. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's not a luxury hotel, but I had a great stay.

Centrally placed and reasonably priced for its location, the hotel was close to the Metro. My room was very cute and clean, with a private bathroom, TV, and safe included for free. It was cleaned to a high standard every day, and the cleaning ladies were friendly and helpful. Everyone at reception was patient, smiley, and approachable, even though my French was terrible. They speak different languages too. I definitely want to come back. Thanks to hotel Angleterre for a lovely stay, and have a great 2026!

Paris was mad and scary to drive through, but my partner did an amazing job, five stars for that. There's no parking at the hotel, and the multistorey car park is very expensive. The city is also costly for food and drinks, though the people were friendly. It's a great place to go if you're romantic: I saw all the attractions I wanted, and my partner proposed on top of the Eiffel Tower. Of course I said yes. When we first arrived, I didn't find the front desk staff very friendly. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, the shower was amazing, and the cleaners did a great job. We had a balcony, although the view wasn't brilliant. The location was really good.

The staff were really kind and chatted with us, and for such a low price the hotel was good. We stayed two nights, and the location worked out: about an 11-minute walk from Gare Du Nord, with shops and places to eat nearby, including maccas and burger king. The walk back felt a little sketchy at night because it was dim and quiet, though I think it would be okay with company. The Eiffel Tower was about an hour away on foot. Our room had a nice big window that opened for fresh air. It was a decent size, with a kettle, safe, hair dryer, and hangers, but no microwave or utensils. The bed was okay, and there were a couple sheets and one pillow each. The bathroom was very cramped, especially the shower, where you could barely stretch your arms, but the water pressure was fine and the door worked. They supplied soap but no shampoo or conditioner, and fresh towels came daily. There’s also a small elevator that does the job. We’d emailed to ask about luggage storage and got no reply, although we later found out they do offer it. I’d recommend this place if you want a decent hotel at a good price.
