Apart Inn Paris - Haussmann Champs Elysees

We picked this place for the small kitchen in the rooms, since we wanted to prepare food for our newborn. We’d stayed at another property in the same chain and were happy with it, but this one didn’t meet the standard we expected. On arrival, we had to carry our luggage up some stairs, with no other apparent option and no one from the hotel offering to help. I generally wouldn’t recommend choosing this property.

The rooms are spacious, which was the one clear positive, but the lighting is so dim that working or studying at night would be a real problem. For nearly €250 a night, there are plenty of better serviced places nearby, including much cheaper B&B apartments. We stayed five nights. The location is okay but farther than it looks: about a five-minute walk to the metro, and around 20 minutes to the Champs-Élysées and Galeries Lafayette. Some pubs nearby can also be noisy at night. One of the night staff was completely unhelpful. At check-in, she didn’t say our room number, just pointed to the key card sleeve and said it was written there. When we asked what laundry cost, she told us to read the price list ourselves. We asked if we could exchange notes for coins because we didn’t have enough, and she said she didn’t have any either. The machines actually accept card payments, though neither of us knew that then. Why wasn’t that mentioned upfront?

My mom and I spent nearly two weeks here, and the apartment had room for a couple more people too. The kitchenette was handy, with plenty of dishes and glasses, and even though the fridge was small, it did have a freezer. The raised step into the tub for a shower felt a little odd to me, though I gather that's common in Paris. We liked being in a quieter neighborhood, with buses and the metro nearby, and you can walk to plenty of places too. There’s a quick sandwich spot around the corner for breakfast or lunch, and the Italian deli called made in Italy a block behind the hotel was great. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The staff made the stay feel welcoming. They were friendly, easy to find when we needed help, and quick to come back if they were assisting someone else. Chloe was especially fun to chat with, Jonathan helped carry my mom’s luggage, and manager Juseph took time to answer our questions, including my questions about ghost stories. Everyone we met seemed happy to help. Housekeeping came daily to make the bed and bring fresh towels. You can hear doors opening and closing sometimes, but it wasn’t frequent or disruptive. It’s comfortable and clean, though I wouldn’t compare it to a luxury place like JW or ritz. It had a nice apartment-like feel while still being a hotel, and I’d recommend staying here.

The team were friendly and accommodating, and I’d happily stay at Adagio Hausmann again. It’s in a central spot with the metro close by, which made getting around easy.
