Aparthotel Adagio Paris Nation

The neighborhood felt very safe, and controlled access to the hotel and elevators helped us feel at ease. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the whole place was exceptionally clean with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Adagio Nation is a bright, roomy hotel in a handy spot near the metro. The streets around it are wide and pleasant, with lots of cafés and shops nearby, including Auchan and Picard. I really enjoyed staying here.

The rooms are well equipped, and the kitchen was genuinely useful, especially for a longer stay. Private parking was also practical for our visit to Paris by car. The location in the 12th arrondissement made public transport easy, with metro Lines 6 and 8 nearby, plus supermarkets and bakeries for everyday needs. Rachel welcomed us, explained everything clearly, and dealt with our requests efficiently. The rest of the staff were also helpful and smiling whenever we needed something. Housekeeping is light, as you’d expect in an aparthotel. Towels aren’t changed daily and are usually changed weekly unless you ask for more. The gym is extremely small and limited.

The kitchen was great for making breakfast and light meals, with a full size fridge, stovetop, sink, microwave, and plates. There are several supermarkets nearby. We were on the sixth floor with a nice view over the gardens behind the building. The shower had a good step in, and the Daumesnil metro, serving Lines 6 and 8, is close enough for easy trips around the city. The area felt safe, though Place is under construction at the moment and should be lovely once the work is done. Finding the entrance was a bit confusing. The gate at the bottom of the stairs wasn’t clearly marked, and it doesn’t occur to you to look up. Access is by lift or stairs, then there’s another locked door before reception. Check in was quick, although the receptionist was extremely surly. The air conditioning is tightly controlled, so the room could get hot, but we could open the window. Be prepared for lots of stairs around the city, as few metro stations have escalators or lifts.

The place was adequate but pretty bare. The tub stopper didn’t work, we got only two coffee pods for two days, and the whole building had just two washing machines. We liked having a kitchenette, but it could have used an oven or toaster along with the microwave. The location wasn’t as convenient as we expected, and roadworks brought noise and debris. The front desk staff were pleasant, but couldn’t tell us where a nearby supermarket was. We found one ourselves, just a four minute walk away, and the staff didn’t seem well informed about the neighborhood.
