Appartement St Denis

After our day at Disneyland on September 27th, we were told the outer door key had been changed and asked when we'd reach the apartment. I'd already given an estimated time. The M9 metro then broke down two stops away. I had no signal, my battery was almost dead, and I had to get my tired 10-year-old daughter walking in the cold. I couldn't reach the person with the new key. I asked the restaurant downstairs to use an outlet, and eventually managed to contact someone. We still waited outside for half an hour with my young child. I'm furious. This is unacceptable, and I'll never stay at Sweet Inn again. This had already been an issue on Tuesday, September 24th, when I checked in: they kept asking for my arrival time. In an unfamiliar city, I can't work out public transport schedules and distances well enough to give an exact time.

For what it costs, I wasn't impressed. There was a strong drain smell in the bathroom, and the heated towel rail didn't work. The high table with bar stools was a strange setup and awkward for eating. It's also the only place I've stayed in France without a cafetiere or filter coffee maker. That odd pod machine doesn't make up for it.

It's a great apartment, with all the amenities you need and close to the metro. Finding it at first is a bit difficult, and there's nowhere to leave your bags if you arrive early.

Danger, avoid this place! Someone has a key to the apartment and steals cash and credit cards. It's a scam.
