The transport links made getting to attractions really easy: there's a bus stop downstairs and the train and Metro station is right next door. We stayed five nights and paid around €800 including breakfast, which seemed okay. The room was a little small, and the bathroom was clean, though the shower has no curtain or door, so water splashes around and the floor gets wet. Breakfast was basic, with scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, bread, butter, and cheese. Nothing special, but fine.

We couldn't sleep in the tiny, hot, stuffy room. The air conditioning didn't work, and the clerk said nothing could be done. Opening the window meant putting up with unbearable noise all night, bright streetlights, strong cooking smells, and early sun. The area also felt very unpleasant and shady, especially at night. In the morning, we found bedbugs in the sheets, and I had itchy red marks on my legs. We decided to leave. A clerk promised us an upgraded room, which we accepted, but when we came back that evening a different clerk said none was ready and we had to stay in the same room, still without AC and with bedbugs. I refused and asked for a refund. The clerk got agitated, shouted, threw papers on the floor, and forced us out in the middle of the night, angrily speaking French and clearly insulting us even though I couldn't understand the words. The next morning we returned and asked for our money back for the nights we hadn't stayed. The manager joined in, dismissed our complaints, and said it was "our problem." After a long argument, we asked only for the last night, which we'd spent elsewhere, but staff still refused. We had no choice but to call the local police. Once they arrived, the staff suddenly became polite and courteous, completely unlike before. The police got us a refund for the last night only. I've never had such an appalling experience: no service, blatant disrespect, possible discrimination, and the humiliation of having to involve the police. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel if you don't want to risk going through something similar.

It's comfortable, clean, and good value, with friendly, helpful staff. The hotel sits between North and East stations, which makes getting to central Paris easy. Breakfast has a good cold buffet as well as scrambled eggs and sausages, and there's free access to a water dispenser at reception. Nothing fancy, but I couldn't fault it and would happily stay again.

The room was great, though the toilet was bigger than the room, which made us laugh. The location is really handy, right by cafes, supermarkets, the train station, and good shawarma. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

There are plenty of places nearby to eat and have a drink. The room was just right, with enough space and a hot shower, and Gare du Nord is close. It’s also a great spot for a walk to Montmartre. Great stay!
