Hôtel Artus

The room was great, with a comfy bed, clean towels and shower, a nice hair dryer, an iron, and laundry service available. Ventilation was the one issue: the room didn’t get much airflow, so I had to open the window at night. Even so, it was a 10/10 stay for me. The receptionists were welcoming and helpful, and there was still and sparkling water on tap, an espresso machine for guests, and umbrellas to borrow if you forgot yours. It’s a handy base for transport and sightseeing, with lots of good food nearby. Buci cafe down the street stays open until 5am and was a hidden gem. Grom gelato and a supermarket aren’t far either. There’s also a good ramen shop, though its service may not be very tourist-friendly. Three crepe shops behind Buci cafe deserve award-winning taste!!!

We’d be very happy to stay here again. The hotel is in the heart of Saint-Germain, in a trendy part of Paris full of cafés, restaurants, and nightlife. It’s very central and a great place to explore the city on foot. The staff were unusually friendly and helpful, with recommendations and assistance beyond what we expected. A special thanks to Sunjay Kaloya, Head Concierge, whose kindness, professionalism, and dedication made our stay memorable. He was always available.

Hotel Artus has a fantastic location, but I was very disappointed by my three-night stay. For its price and reputation, I expected much better. Room problems and what felt like dishonesty at reception overshadowed the visit. On the first night, our shower handle broke as soon as we checked in. The receptionist said we’d get an “upgrade,” but moved us to a lower-floor room that felt dark, dingy, and uncomfortable. When I asked about other rooms, she insisted the hotel was full. I didn’t feel safe or comfortable there, so I said I might shower in that room and sleep in our original one. She said that was fine. Then, when I asked again about the hassle of switching, she suddenly “found” a room on the 2nd floor, after just saying none were available. The back-and-forth wasted our time and felt very off-putting. The 2nd-floor room had problems too: the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and the towel rack broke. These are issues I wouldn’t expect at a hotel of this level. I also had concerns about basic cleanliness and maintenance. I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Artus unless management and customer service improve seriously.

I noticed the hotel’s commitment to sustainable practices during my one-night stay. The room was very quiet, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a nice, peaceful hotel, and every team member I met was kind and professional. I’d definitely book again.
