Hôtel Auteuil Tour Eiffel

The easy transport links and the nearby shops make getting around Paris simple, and the walk back felt safe even in the evening. We also return to the pizza and pasta restaurant next door every time. I've been here with my parents, sister, and boyfriend, and each stay has left me feeling comfortable and at home. The staff are always so warm to me as a visitor from Ireland. This was my fourth stay at Hotel Auteuil Tour Eiffel, and it still exceeded what I expected. My room was spotless, towels were refreshed each day, and the soundproofing meant I slept well in a very comfortable bed. I had a lovely view, too. Fresh tea and coffee and free still and sparkling water are thoughtful extras. I'll be back soon, and I can't imagine choosing another Paris hotel.

As a woman, I found this account deeply unsettling. A guest said she saw a red camera light and a flash three times during the night while showering, and understandably feared someone was photographing her. The receptionist reportedly brushed off the concern, suggesting it might have been a firefighter or passing car lights. Apparently there were no security cameras in that area to check what had happened or put her at ease, and no meaningful solution was offered. When she asked for a manager, the receptionist allegedly refused. A woman asking for help with her privacy and safety should be taken seriously. I would never stay at a hotel where she couldn't feel safe or heard. Basic empathy and professionalism matter.

The hotel is tucked off the main road, so nights are quiet, which is good if you're a light sleeper. Public transport is easiest by bus. Rooms are comfortable, and there's a lift. Breakfast is simple, with bread, juice, eggs, cheese, yogurt and similar basics. For getting around on foot, Beaugrenell shopping center is nearby, with a smaller Galerie Lafayette, Sephora, Monoprix and other shops. You can also see the iconic sister of Liberty Statue in the Seine river on the way there. If you get lucky on a weekday, there's a fresh market just around the corner.

Breakfast was fine, and the area is modern. The hotel itself is decent, but the rooms feel basic and could use more luxury. I missed having towels, a fridge, and a coffee machine. I was also hoping for a more authentic Parisian neighborhood, and the metro isn't very close.
