I stayed one night and checked out around 9:30 the next morning. The street noise kept me from sleeping, and I contacted American Express Travel afterward about what had happened. I had booked Be You Hotel Paris for four nights. When I arrived, I was surprised to see the hotel surrounded by sex shops, which I hadn't known when booking. My room was ready early, which I appreciated after a 10-hour trip, but it was on the first floor at street level, with the bedroom facing the street. There was no hot water, and I asked staff right away to change rooms. They said the booking was non-refundable, and no other room would be available until the next day, with no guarantee. After going out briefly, I came back to find the hot water still wasn't working, and the Wi-Fi had been down for over an hour. There was no phone in the room, so I had to go to the lobby to talk to staff. I saw a couple booking a room for one hour there, which made it clear the hotel rents rooms by the hour. I felt unsafe and decided I couldn't stay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you're specifically looking to be near sex shops and to stay somewhere that offers hourly room rentals.

When we arrived, we were extremely disappointed and ended up booking an AirBnB with my family. The hotel refused to refund us. There are porn stores around the hotel, and people hanging out by the entrance made the place seem shady. This was an absolutely horrible hotel. Please don't stay. You can see what I saw on arrival in Google Maps street view.

The rooms are worn down, the bathroom is really unhygienic with hairs everywhere, and the boulevard noise is intense. You can hear people walking above you too. Sleeping is impossible. It's a horrible hotel with an atmosphere to match.

Fabio was especially helpful when the lift broke for a while. He offered to let us stay in our room until it was repaired, which says a lot about the service here. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel is very good quality. The only downside is the complicated neighborhood, though it's manageable.

The reception and cleaning staff were lovely and very helpful. Our room was huge for Paris and well equipped, and the luggage storage was great. Everything was right on the doorstep, but the hotel never felt too loud. We've stayed in plenty of family rooms around Pigalle or Montmartre as a family of four, and this was our best yet. A wonderful family hotel in a great location. Lovely people, we'll be back!!! :-)
