Beaugency Hotel

Our room had a terrible stench, so we had to leave the windows open all night. The rooms also looked like they were falling apart and needed renovation. At 8am, a fire alarm went off. The rooms are small, though most in Paris are, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The location was perfect, just a 14-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, with plenty of restaurants right outside. The front desk staff were very nice and welcoming. Rooms were very clean, the washroom had all the essentials, and there were plenty of towels. The bed was very comfortable, and having a microwave oven in the lobby was helpful. The rooms are very, very small. A backpack is fine, but it's hard even to open a large trolley in the room. The staircase is also very small for carrying big trolleys. There is a little elevator, though, and it was quite good.

We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel comfortable, with very nice beds. It was close to local activities and the Eiffel Tower, which was really convenient. There's also a nice lobby for eating breakfast. It's a decent hotel, and I recommend it.

The beds were the highlight, and the rooms were clean, but the walls were thin and the carpets need updating. The lift is only 2x3, so ask for a lower floor if you're traveling light. Rooms are small by US standards, as in many European hotels. For our three-night stay, we paid $250/night all in, a mid-lower-tier price for expensive Paris. The hotel is close to the Eiffel Tower and good food options; other sights are reachable on foot or by Uber. It's functional for sleeping, but doesn't feel like a romantic Parisian experience.
