Hôtel Restaurant Campanile Paris 19 - La Villette

The bed was comfortable, the place was clean and well equipped, and the location suited me perfectly. There’s even a bath, which was a nice surprise, along with actual Nespresso pods in the room. They keep an iron at reception, just ask for it, no deposit needed. The desk attendant asked me to bring it back soon, which was fine. I couldn’t fault the hotel and would recommend it.

The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, but our problems after checkout soured the stay. My son realized within ten minutes that he’d left his favorite vintage hat in the bathroom. I couldn’t turn around, so I called immediately. The front desk asked me to email the details and said they’d tell me the shipping cost. I sent a photo and said I’d pay whatever it took. That was within 15 minutes of checking out, but more than a month and several follow-ups later, I still haven’t heard back. Check-in had also been uncomfortable. They wrote the wrong room number in the key-card book, then the next day three staff members questioned why I was in that room and said I shouldn’t have been assigned it, as if it were my fault. We left a day early. Maybe that’s why they didn’t care to help with the hat afterward. The location didn’t feel very safe to us, with lots of homeless people around, though it’s a five-minute walk from two train stations.

We’ve had a lovely few days at Campanile Prime Paris 19 La Villette. The place was tidy and clean throughout, the restaurant food was good, and the service was great. Thanks to Shelly for a fantastic last meal last night, much appreciated! The room is on the smaller side, though they do mention that when you book. Thanks again.

We had a fantastic visit to France and really loved staying here. Everything was clean and up to date, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Thanks so much, guys.
