The rooms are small, but they were clean and quiet. This cute, quaint hotel has an extra-cost breakfast, and the service there was lovely, with fresh pastries, fruit, coffee, cheese, and more. The staff were helpful and nice. It’s close to all the trains but away from the busiest tourist areas, so we walked pretty much everywhere. If you need gluten-free food, you can ask for it and they’ll provide soft bread and cookies. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat!

The room was small, but it worked for me since I only had a small suitcase. A large one might be hard to open in there. The hotel is outside the center, tucked on a quiet street, and it’s a lovely little place. The metro, bus, and tram are all close by.

Getting to the main sights was easy from this spot near the metro. Breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were excellent.

Terry was great, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room itself was hot and had no windows, so at night we had to open the doors to the outside to keep it from overheating. That meant dealing with a lot of noise every night from 2300-0300, and it was really hard to sleep. With the shower broken and no curtain, it was basically a tub with a shower head attached, which felt kind of weird. We were left choosing between a hot room and a noisy one, with the doors open or shut.

UPDATE: I’m even more disappointed by the response than by the original problem. Instead of apologizing and trying to fix things, they made statements that were plainly wrong. If there are security cameras, how could a call lasting about 5 minutes according to the call log have been 20 minutes? I called at 10:30 PM, as I had told the staff, because I had an early train the next morning and wanted to check whether my belongings had been found so I could collect them before leaving. The employee did yell at me, saying there was absolutely no way my things were there because housekeeping hadn’t found anything. He became more and more upset during those five minutes, then ended the call by hanging up. I understand their point about guests handing in their keys, but that assumes there’s 24/7 desk service. If they’re complaining that I called at 10:30 PM, I don’t see how that counts as round-the-clock service. I’d be happy to give them more details, but this was very disappointing. I regret booking here completely. The service was rude from the start. Guests are supposed to leave their keys at the front desk when going out, but at check-in the receptionist only gave me my room number. They didn’t explain the key rule or give me any other information, and seemed bothered that I was there. The room was okay, though it didn’t lock properly and, as other reviews have said, was noisy. On my second day I took my key with me because nobody had explained the rule, and the information booklet in the room didn’t mention it either. When I came back, they more or less yelled at me for having the key. I tried to make the best of it, and since I was out most of the day, it was manageable. On my last day I left my bag at the hotel, but they had me leave it in the lobby, which I did because I was in a pinch. I later came back for it and decided to stay in Paris another night. At my next hotel, I noticed an expensive item was missing. I clearly remembered packing it, so while I was still in Paris I called to ask if anything had been found in my room or whether anyone might have touched my bag. The employee insisted they were completely sure nothing had been left in my room. When I asked whether anyone had access to my bags, he said, “No, no, it’s very safe,” then got upset that I was calling so late, despite the claim of 24-hour front desk service. I was leaving Paris at 7 AM and wanted to resolve this, but the receptionist hung up on me. I ended the night without my belongings, after being yelled at and hung up on. I’m shocked and frustrated by the whole experience. The rooms are decent at best, if not below average. If that’s the kind of stay you want, come here.
