Charming Apart at 2 min From Gare du Nord-eurostar

Omar welcomed us at reception and made us feel at home. He was fantastic, and his welcome made our stay feel perfect. Check-in was very quick, and the rooms were clean and basic. My parents and I stayed for two nights, and the location was absolutely perfect and strategic. We’ll recommend the hotel to our friends and hope to come back and see Omar again when we arrive. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and a credit to Ibis. We stayed in an accessible room, but it was very small and there wasn’t room to spend time doing anything beyond sleeping or showering. The bed was the smallest double size you can buy, which made sleeping a bit of an effort at times. That was the only negative about our stay.

The room was noisy, being next to the elevator, and I could hear street noise even from the 5th floor. I’d have liked more in-room amenities, like a coffee maker or kettle and a safe. Being just outside the Gare dy Nord station makes this a fantastic option for location.

The breakfast was good, but the rooms were dark and small, and there was only one chair with a back. The carpets in the lift and corridors looked like concrete. The place was clean except for old blood stains on one sheet. The beds have a mattress topper held in place by sheets tucked around it. It’s comfortable, but it shifts during the night. Mine slid off by about a third of the bed’s width, and I was at risk of ending up on the floor. For 175-285 Euros pn, ibis should provide room safes and better towels. The neighborhood was terrible, with dossers, down and outs, pavements used as open toilets, graffiti and empty shops. I’d only find it tolerable for a night before departure or on arrival at the station. Next time we’ll take a metro to another district and pay even more.
