Citadines Trocadéro Paris

The lobby coffee machine is the one bright spot. It gives you as much free coffee as you want, any time of day or night, heart permitting. The rest felt worn out and poorly maintained during our seven day stay: drafty windows, a leaky air conditioner, a dishwasher that didn't work, a loose toilet seat, and threadbare bed and bath linens. Staff were friendly but overworked and overwhelmed. The weekly cleaning happened on the last day instead of midway through, and the shared rubbish area had overflowing bins. I left relieved, knowing there are alternatives in the 16th.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the location was excellent. But the way reception staff and managers treated us was unfortunate. We rented a room for our family, yet they split us across two rooms. They lied to us and sold the rooms. A real shame when it comes to the staff and customer service.

The room was compact, but the beds were very comfortable. It felt quite warm to us, though the windows opened onto a very quiet courtyard, and the cool forest air was lovely. The kitchen had basic dishes, so bring your own oil, salt, pepper, and sugar. The room was nicely adapted, with plenty of outlets and USB charging ports, plus lights on both sides of the bed. The staff were professional and very helpful. A nice grocery store was two minutes away, and the Metro and central bus line were within a ten minute walk. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would come back.

Citadines has been consistent for me. The rooms are simple and clean, with the things you need, plus handy extras like a clothesline and shoe rack. The kitchen was well stocked and every appliance worked. There's everything you need close by, and it's a great location. If you get the solo traveler room, the bed might feel a little firm. Still, it's spotless, which is all you can ask for. The value is unbeatable if you book on the right day. I'll definitely be back.
