The lounge is really chic, and check-in was easy. Most of the staff spoke English, and their warmth made the stay more enjoyable. We were right by Gare de Lyon, which saved us time for the train. The room looked even better in person, with a big, comfortable bed and great pillows. And their lattes are so good! I’d recommend booking here.

Quiet and felt safe, with very fast lifts and a decent sized room for the price. It’s right by the train station. The tech setup was handy, though Chromecast didn’t work. It suited me as a solo traveller; for two, the layout means one person may have to climb over the other to get to the bathroom. Takeaway food can only be eaten in your room, not in the downstairs lobby or dining area.

The location near the train station is the one thing this hotel has going for it. I stayed twice in January, and both rooms felt cheap and dirty. There are no cups or glasses, and for a four-star place I expected clean rooms and working amenities. The lifts were dirty too; on my last day, sticky liquid on the floor got onto my shoes and suitcase wheels. The hotel needs repairs and better cleaning.

The lobby and lounge feel like a stylish living room, with comfy seats, shared workspaces and a lively café bar for a drink or casual meal. The rooms are compact but cleverly laid out, with high-end tech and mood lighting. It’s just steps from the station, so arrivals and departures are easy, while inside it has a relaxed, sophisticated feel.
