Cosy Studio 2P - Paris 01/musee du Louvre

For me, this felt like one of the city's many tourist traps, and the only reason to stay is the location. The interior had lots of broken things and the cleaning was really poor. It’s set up more like an Airbnb, so be ready for that. They say you can contact staff, but there aren’t any around, and if something goes wrong there’s nobody to complain to. It also seems to be luck which room you get.

There’s a restaurant nearby that stays open late, and you can hear its visitors. This place may have been good five or six years ago, but it’s clearly going downhill now. The owner seems focused on making money, and the price doesn’t match the service. I’d avoid it.

I was nervous after reading the reviews, but we had a great stay. The location worked perfectly for our family of five. Our hair dryer didn’t work, but they brought us another one that same day. Definitely recommend it.

I liked getting the access code ahead of time, so there was no need to arrange a meeting with the host. Payment came through a link a few hours before arrival, and that was very straightforward. I’d seen some poor reviews and was nervous, but the apartment turned out to be clean, nicely decorated, and laid out really well. It’s central, between work and all my favorite areas, so I could take lovely walks after work. There are good bars nearby, including one right across the street with great service from breakfast until night. That was handy, and the dark shades meant it didn’t disturb us.
