I picked Dadou Paris because I needed to be near Place de l'Etoile for work. It’s a small, charming hotel with tasteful decor, and the Champs Elisés is close by while the Eiffel Tower is an easy walk. The rooms are small, as is common in Paris, but comfortable, with luxurious bedding. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the rain shower and tiles. Breakfast had waffles, sugar bread, a wide choice of cheeses, quiche, and other tasty options. There’s also a spa, though I didn’t use it.

The room was lovely and comfortable, with a balcony on a quiet street. The bathroom was beautiful, the shower was nice, and the staff were kind. Still, a few things really needed better handling. We’d emailed as soon as we booked to request a late checkout, and the hotel confirmed in writing that we could stay until 3:30pm if we paid. That mattered because we had a wedding the night before, and as a lactating woman I had to plan around pumping. When we arrived, we were told someone else had booked the room and late checkout wasn’t possible. I understand the conflict, but we should have been told by email right away. Our exchange had made it seem confirmed. Breakfast costs 22 euros and runs until 10:30am, or 11 on weekends. We got it free because our TV didn’t work for two days. I went down at 9 and found mostly cheese and bread, with no quiche and barely any eggs. Staff said they don’t replace items once they run out, so arriving late could mean paying 22 euros for bread and cheese after others have eaten everything. We left later on New Year’s Eve, after checking our suitcases with the staff. Nobody warned us that all the streets around the hotel would close for the Arc de Triomphe festivities. Since hotel guests are often tourists trying to get to airports and catch flights, I think the hotel should tell them about major delays. We found out the hard way.

I came back and stayed here again, and Lea and Paul were amazing, helping us store our luggage. On my first stay, Melody at the front desk was especially helpful and went above and beyond with great recommendations. The location is great, the hotel is very clean, and the staff are wonderful. I highly recommend it.

I accidentally left a sentimental piece of jewelry on the desk the morning I left. Housekeeping found it and mailed it back to me in the States. That says a lot about their integrity and customer service, and I’ll absolutely return. I was glad I chose Hotel Dadou when I added a long stop in Paris to a work trip. As an interior designer, I loved the details, from the wallpaper and common areas to the bathroom tiles. Yes, the rooms are small because it’s a historic building, but the layouts were genius and gave me an authentic glimpse of Parisian life. Breakfast was perfect, with fresh pastries and coffee brewed just for me. The basement spa and sauna were a lovely, unusual way to unwind after a long day of travel. The lobby is pretty too, and when we came back for a mid-afternoon refresh, there was homemade cake and tea for guests. The metro and arc de triomphe were conveniently close. On a personal note, my grandfather lived in this neighborhood during World War II, so walking around gave me a nice sense of what life was like for him here.

My first Paris visit felt welcoming thanks to the staff. Everyone was so nice, the customer service was great, and both the cute hotel and my room were lovely. I’d definitely stay again 🩷 I tried to upload a video of my room, but it wouldn’t work, so I took screenshots instead.
