Hotel Duret

We’ve stayed at this lovely boutique hotel several times. The rooms are nice, though a few repairs are needed. The location, breakfast, and service are all excellent.

The room was typically Parisian, quiet and clean, and there’s a small gym. The metro is close by, and the service was efficient and excellent. Breakfast was surprisingly good, too. We enjoyed staying right in the heart of Paris. Recommend.

We spent six nights here for a congress in Paris. The location is great, near the metro and lots of major attractions, and the staff were polite. The bed was cozy, comfortable, and clean, but I was disappointed by the room for a four star hotel. It was spacious, yet the furniture was old and cracked, and so was the bathroom sink. I’d never seen that in a four star place before. The breakfast wasn’t the kind of buffet I’m used to, though I suppose that’s the French style, so okay. For four mornings I tried to get a fresh crepe, but there was always just one available, old and hard. The coffee was translucent and barely drinkable.

The rooms were big and very nice, with all the useful things in place, including a minibar, ironing equipment, shoes, and a spot for coffee and tea. Service was good, everything was clean, and the hotel is close to the main sights. Highly recommended.
