Hotel Elysées Flaubert

The room felt dated, but the price was still reasonable, so it seemed like a safe choice. It’s in a nice residential area. Breakfast is what earned the four stars for me: there wasn’t much to choose from, but what they had was good quality, and guests could make fresh orange juice themselves.

The staff at reception were helpful, knew their stuff, and spoke English fluently. Our room had blackout curtains and a comfortable bed, and there was even a wheelchair-accessible room with a bath. The air conditioning worked wonderfully, which really matters in summer. It was easy to walk to the metro and to interesting places around the city. We caught a farmers market and something like a garage sale, with stalls set up in tents along the streets. The local restaurants were lovely. There was food at the hotel, but we chose to eat out. We had an incredible stay and will definitely come back.

There are bakeries and restaurants nearby, handy for grabbing something before heading out. Getting to the Champs Elysees is easy from here, and the location is good. Just check that the bathroom extractor and the AC are working properly. If they aren’t, the room can get much too hot.

The breakfast was good and included, so I’m sharing a photo since we couldn’t find any decent ones before our stay. The hotel is in a handy spot, and it’s simple but quite nice.
