The apartment was nothing like the Expedia photos. It was a tiny studio, with exposed plumbing and dangling cables, and it was very dusty. We’d stretched our budget because the pictures looked so good, so we felt completely misled. Before the trip, we tried twice to reach the host and got no answer. Then, about 30 minutes after landing, while we were on our way, they called to say the address was different from the one advertised on Expedia. No one was there when we arrived, and we waited outside in the cold with our two-year-old. At checkout, we were told to leave the keys in a glass jar inside, but the door couldn’t be locked without them. We ended up having to leave them under the doormat.

The place felt disgusting, and the people there were rude. Communication was terrible, and we didn’t feel it was safe during the pandemic. They’re liars, in my view. There are plenty of much better places in Paris.

They advertise one apartment and give you a completely different one. The service was terrible, and the apartment itself was awful, with hardly any space and no air conditioning. It felt like a scam.
