Generator Paris

The location is amazing, but the dirty facilities made it impossible to use the toilet or shower comfortably and ruined the stay. The hostel looks modern and nice when you first arrive, yet it really isn't clean. I already raised this with reception, but they didn't seem to care. Bathrooms are marked as cleaned three times a day, which doesn't seem true. The showers smelled like pee and were yellow, while the mirrors and sink had been dirty for two days. I took time-stamped photos and will make a formal complaint. I was charged 7,50 for a towel, although I heard other guests got one free. It seems a manager and supervisor need to be on site to keep guest experience a priority. Most of the time the staff don't seem to care about the business, just clocking in and out. Someone needs to supervise their work and make sure they're kind and respectful, and that they actually clean.

Hikmet made a huge difference to my stay at Generator Hotel Paris. He welcomed me warmly, stayed friendly and professional, and was always smiling and positive. He answered my questions, shared useful local tips, and helped make sure everything went smoothly. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about guests. Thanks to Hikmet and the Generator Paris team. I'll definitely return and recommend the place to others.

The rooms and beds were clean and well kept, and I had a great stay overall. When I found someone else's belongings on the bed and in the locker of my first room, Mateus at reception dealt with it professionally. He upgraded me and arranged a lower bunk, which I really appreciated. He was extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent service, and I'd happily stay here again.

Colonel Fabien is only about a 100m walk away, making it easy to reach Metro stations across the city. The location is very convenient, and I'd definitely choose this hostel again. There are lots of rooms and lots of people. Staff were helpful, though not friendly. My room was clean and maintained well, with a comfortable bed on a sturdy frame. The shared bathrooms were clean too, and the air conditioning felt good in mid December. I was out almost all the time and only used the room to sleep, so I can't speak to other parts of the hostel. One downside is that there's no kitchen.
