Grand Hotel Saint Michel

The front desk helped us arrange airport transport, and the drivers and vehicles were great. We also appreciated being able to borrow electrical converters from reception. The hotel and our room felt modern, nicely updated, and well looked after. In the lobby there were afternoon refreshments and flavoured water available all the time.

We never actually stayed at the Grand Hotel. I became ill before the trip and my wife took over the reservation, but the only email after the original confirmation went to her spam folder, so she didn't know about the booking and we missed the cancellation deadline. We understand the policy, but it seems like bad business to refuse any refund or credit toward a future stay, especially when other hotels and booking services sent several reminders that reached us in time to cancel. The Grand Hotel wouldn't offer any consideration at all. My wife and many of her colleagues travel to Paris for work, and none of them will be staying there now. It looks like an excellent property. I wish I'd had the chance to experience it.

I stayed in room 603 from 9/22-9/30 this past September and really liked it. There was plenty of room, and the bed was a large queen. The staff were all wonderful, especially the women at the front desk when I arrived and checked out. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

I've been back several times and am always happy to return. It's a great spot for relaxing and enjoying Paris's culture and character. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good sound insulation and what you need while travelling. There's an elevator, 24-hour reception, and a choice of breakfast.
