Clean and functional, with a fair price. I'd happily return. There are a couple of drawbacks: the room is small, the walls are a bit thin, and there's no elevator. If you're on the top floor with a heavy bag, those stairs will be your workout. The neighborhood feels real rather than touristy, with good bakeries and the Metro just around the corner. I came for a solid Paris base without paying for a lobby I wouldn't use. What surprised me was finding proper air conditioning and a Nespresso machine in a 2-star hotel here. Those two things alone are rare and make up for the small room.

The location made getting to the metro, food, and even laundry easy, and I felt safe staying there alone. The room was clean and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A couple of things to know: the only product provided was unlabeled hand soap, so bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Also, the TV looked as if there might be a small camera in its lower-left corner. I covered it with a scarf and felt fine after that.

Our bedroom was lovely and clean, which I really appreciated. It’s a good-value place to stay in Paris. The one thing I’d change is breakfast: it was plain and exactly the same every day.
