Stef was so friendly and attentive. We had a large snowboard with us, and he offered to store it so it wouldn’t take up room. He was always ready to help. We also appreciated being able to check in about an hour early because our family room was already clean and ready after our trip. It was spacious, comfortable, spotless, and well maintained. The hotel has lovely Parisian charm, just a few meters from the Moulin Rouge and close to Montmartre. We had such a nice stay and would come back to Paris and stay here again.

The location worked really well for getting around, with travel options right outside, supermarkets and quick food nearby. We skipped the metro and used buses, which were great. There are a few sex shops on the street, but that didn’t bother us. Close by, I’d recommend kb coffee roasters for coffee, and Leonie bakery and union boulangaree are less than a 15 minute walk away. The rooms were clean, the shower was good, the bed was comfortable, and the whole team was friendly. They checked us in 45mins early and let us leave our bags after checkout. My main issue was being given a different room from the one we booked directly through the hotel website. I raised it with staff, but they couldn’t do anything because the other rooms were booked. The room was also so small that I couldn’t use my foam roller for the stretches I need to ease my low back spasms. If I’d known, I would have booked another of the hotels I was considering. Service and location were 5/5, rooms 3.5/5. I’d still recommend it, but hope you get the room you paid for.

If you’re mainly looking for somewhere to sleep while seeing Paris, I think this is good value. It’s in the Sex Shop area, but we felt safe coming back, with lots of young adults around the restaurants and bars and no sleezy people about. Pigelle metro is just minutes across the street. The room is small, as is typical for renovated Paris hotels outside the high-end chains. I’ve stayed in over 20 other Parisian 2-to-4 Star hotels, so this felt familiar. It had a Queen size bed, and the owners have clearly put effort into making it feel 5-star. The bathroom was cleaned impeccably every day, from the bed to the bathroom. There was a whisper or slow-closing toilet seat, rain forest shower head, high-end bathroom fixtures, Nespresso machine with 2 complimentary pods, Daikin thermostat and heating system, large-screen TV with an easy menu, and a 24-hour reception desk with the front door locked at night.

The only awkward part was the locked main door at night. I hadn’t been told what time it would be locked. One night, nobody answered the bell at first, but when I called they got back to me quickly and let me in. Waiting outside late in the surrounding area wasn’t pleasant. Apart from that, I had a great three-night stay at Hotel Léon. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. For a 2-star hotel, it was excellent value, and I’d still recommend it.

Getting there from the eurostar station was easy, and it’s an ideal spot for visiting Moulin Rouge. The staff were super friendly, and I loved the area. It was very clean throughout and quiet. With four people sharing, the kitchen area felt really tight, though the sofa bed was large and comfy. I was told the deposit was just a holding charge, but they actually took the money.
