Hôtel Bastille Secret

The receptionist kindly upgraded us to a balcony room when we arrived. It was very clean and had tea and coffee facilities, a TV, a comfortable bed, and a shower with good pressure. The continental breakfast was fresh and plentiful, with freshly squeezed orange juice. We stayed one night and the hotel exceeded our expectations. It’s well placed for exploring Paris, with easy metro access and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff were very friendly, and it was good value.

We used the hotel for an overnight break during our train journey from Spain to the UK. The location was perfect, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the electrics worked, and the bed was comfortable.

I was doubtful after reading the reviews on the way there, but we were both pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location worked perfectly for us since we were running the Semi De Paris. We didn’t experience anything like the problems in some of the negative reviews. We’d certainly stay here again if we come back to Paris.

The room was quiet, small, and cozy, with a comfortable bed. The toilet was compact and clean. The hotel is conveniently close to Place de la Bastille, the Bastille Metro, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The lift is the drawback. It’s small, really only big enough for two slim people, and the landing outside it can be dangerous if you’re not careful. The hotel encourages guests to take the stairs to their rooms.
