The narrow paths, broken floor tiles, and steep, unsafe stairs were especially difficult with a baby. Basic things were missing from the rooms, the bathrooms weren’t clean, and the bins were open, which was worrying for diaper disposal. The receptionist was unhelpful and confrontational. They wouldn’t refund us and said we could either stay in the room or leave. They also failed to bring a clean sheet after my baby vomited on the one provided. I asked at 4:00 PM, explained it was urgent, and offered to pay extra. They promised it by 6:30 PM, but no one came. The next staff member knew nothing about it, and we spent the rest of the trip without a clean sheet. We chose this hotel for our baby’s birthday trip because it claimed to have good transport facilities. On arrival, they put us in a small room, No. 24, on the 2nd floor, nothing like the photos. The bathroom door was broken. I immediately said it wasn’t suitable, since we couldn’t feed the baby with the bathroom open or even use it properly. I asked to cancel and get a refund, but was told bookings couldn’t be cancelled. Staff argued with me and insisted we use it. I asked for another room and was given Room No. 56 on the 5th floor, but there was no lift. My wife can’t carry heavy things, so I had to take all the luggage upstairs. There was no hand wash, soap, or even a cup, and it smelled bad. We were exhausted on the first day, and going up and down with a baby was extremely hard. I asked for a lower floor, and they agreed to move us to the 1st floor on the second day. But the staff changed, and the new person didn’t know about the arrangement, so I had to explain it all again. In the end they put us in Room No. 21 on the 2nd floor. It was a little better, but still very small. We had to make do because going back to the top floors wasn’t an option. I stayed in three different rooms, and none was family-friendly. They ruined my baby’s birthday. Don’t book this hotel if you have a family. Confirm every detail before arriving.
