Hôtel Cluny Sorbonne

The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the price felt fair for such a central spot. Hotel Cluny La Sorbonne is right across from the Sorbonne, with the Panthéon and Luxembourg Gardens only a short walk away. It made exploring the Latin Quarter on foot easy. From arrival, the place had a warm, homey feel and a bit of Parisian charm.

The room was small, as you'd expect, but very cozy, clean, and pretty, with a lovely view of the Panthéon, the university, and the little Paris streets. Jardin du Luxembourg is just around the corner, handy for a stroll or coffee. The staff were available day and night and really friendly and helpful, and the wifi was great. The hotel is in the Latin Quarter near the old Sorbonne, lively with young people but very quiet at night. Rainer Maria Rilke wrote his famous novel "Malte" nearby, and Rimbaud lived in this very house.

The staff were really friendly, and the location right across from the Sorbonne is great. The elevator, room, bathroom, and especially the shower are extremely small. I knew that from the reviews before booking, though. I wanted to stay close to the Luxembourg Gardens, so I'm happy with the choice.

We were close to the Sorbonne University, Notre-Dame, and the Pantheon, with cafés, bookshops, and metro stations all nearby. It was easy to explore on foot and get around the rest of Paris. The hotel sits in the Latin Quarter, and even with the busy streets nearby, my Room 62 stayed peaceful thanks to the concrete walls. The view was decent, too. The room and bathroom were on the small side, but spotless and well kept. I didn't see a bug or a speck of dust. The staff were warm and attentive, helped with travel arrangements, and suggested places to eat. Their care made me feel at home. My only small complaint is that the TV felt undersized by today's standards. A smart TV with casting would be a nice addition, though it didn't spoil the stay. Hotel Cluny Sorbonne was a great find, clean, quiet, and well placed, and I'd be glad to return.
