Hotel Cosmotel

We paid for a room for three, advertised as either one twin and one double bed or two doubles, but the room we got was tiny and barely suited two. Nothing matched the listing or what we’d paid for. The listing also said there was an elevator, but there were only stairs, and we had to haul our luggage up several floors ourselves. When we raised these problems, the owner wouldn’t refund us, despite the misleading listing. We had to find another hotel at the last minute, costing us time and money and causing a lot of stress. The owner was rude and dismissive from the start, with no help or courtesy. This was one of my worst hotel experiences. I’d never recommend it. It feels poorly managed and like a trap. Tourists, beware.

I spent a week here on my first trip to Paris. My room was comfortable and quiet, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I’d happily stay again. One thing to know: the stairs are very steep, though there’s an elevator from the front desk. I never found out if it reaches the ground floor, so if mobility is a concern, you may want to call and check.

The rooms and hotel were clean, simple, and had what we needed. The metro is very close, with good transport connections. Best of all, the staff were so welcoming and accommodating, and really went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The staff gave us helpful tips for Paris, but the bathroom cleanliness was a real letdown. I found hairs in the shower basin and on the radiator, the toilet seat was badly stained, and some tiles were cracked. There were also a few bugs in the room. For the price, I expected better. This place has potential, but keeping a hotel room clean matters most. They should freshen up the room and repair the cracked tiles and flooring issues.
